MyChatExport is a Chrome extension that saves the ChatGPT conversation you have open as Markdown or PDF — every message, in the original order, with code blocks, tables and quotes intact.
A long ChatGPT thread is never fully on screen at once, so anything that copies what is visible hands you a shortened file with no warning. MyChatExport asks ChatGPT for the conversation itself and works from the full message list, so long threads come out whole. Every run ends with a line like "Exported 4 messages (complete)."
Markdown drops straight into Obsidian, Notion or a git repo. PDF goes through Chrome's own print engine — searchable, images embedded, no watermark on any tier. The transcript is assembled inside your browser and never uploaded. Free every day, no account required to start.
