An E2EE alternative to Google photos with 20 GB free storage.
Megatech Photos is an end-to-end encrypted photo storage service that is shutting down on August 14, 2026, giving existing users until that date to download and export their data.
Megatech Photos is a web-based photo storage platform that encrypts photos and videos on the user’s device before upload, making the content inaccessible to the service provider. Users upload media files via a web app, and the output is a secure, searchable gallery with options to download, share, and archive data. The service is built and operated by Megatech Photos (megatechphotos.com) and currently serves only existing account holders — new registrations and uploads have been disabled as part of the shutdown process.
After careful consideration, Megatech Photos states that running a photo storage service requires significant resources and they are no longer able to continue operating long term.
The service will permanently shut down on August 14, 2026. After that date, all remaining user data will be permanently deleted and unrecoverable.
Sign in to your account at megatechphotos.com and use the export or download features available in the app to retrieve all photos, videos, archived files, and trash.
