    About this product

We built ClipLumi around a frustration that kept showing up in AI image workflows: the image was often almost right, but fixing one thing meant risking everything else.

A generator is great when you want to explore from a blank canvas. But real creative work does not stay blank for long. Once a team has a useful product photo, portrait, campaign visual, thumbnail, or concept image, the next requests are usually much smaller: change this object, clean up that background, make this version fit a different context, keep the face, keep the product shape, preserve the composition, or create one more variant without losing the parts that were already approved.

That is the problem ClipLumi is trying to solve. It is a browser-based AI image editor for working from an existing image. You upload the source, describe the change in plain language, add visual references when showing is easier than explaining, choose the controls supported by the active model, and generate a new version that is still anchored to the asset you started with.

The product philosophy is simple: edits should be expressed as changes, not as complete rewrites of the scene. If only the background needs to change, the prompt should not have to redescribe the entire subject. If a product is already correct, the user should be able to focus attention on the surrounding context. If a portrait only needs a visual adjustment, the workflow should encourage preserving identity rather than starting another lottery of full-scene generations.

We started thinking of this as a change-versus-preserve problem. Every useful edit has two sides. There is the part the user wants to change, and there is the larger set of details they do not want to lose. Most prompt boxes emphasize the first side and leave the second implicit. ClipLumi makes the source image itself part of the editing contract, and reference images can provide additional constraints when text alone is too vague.

That reference-driven workflow turned out to be important. In design and marketing work, people frequently communicate through examples: use this kind of material, keep this visual direction, match this product context, borrow this treatment, or stay close to this related asset. A reference image can encode those cues much more efficiently than another paragraph of adjectives. ClipLumi lets users combine source images, text instructions, and references instead of forcing every idea through text alone.

We also did not want to hide the fact that different image models behave differently. The interface is model-aware, so the controls a user sees are tied to what the active model actually supports. That is more useful than pretending every provider has the same capabilities. For the user, the goal is not to study model APIs; it is to pick the route that makes sense for the editing job and understand the options available before generating.

The workflow continues after the creative edit. A result can be compositionally right but still need a larger or cleaner output. ClipLumi includes enhancement and upscaling paths so the user can move from editing into practical output preparation without immediately leaving the product. We are gradually treating these tools as parts of one visual workflow rather than isolated mini-apps.

We are launching ClipLumi for the moment when an image is already worth keeping but still needs one more change. The goal is simple: preserve the useful state, express the next edit clearly, and make AI image revision feel more like a controlled workflow than a restart button.
